Junior Cricket Newsletter 28th March
I hope everyone is well and looking forward to playing some cricket! The latest guidance has now been issued by the ECB which confirms cricket practice can go ahead. As previously communicated we will be starting from Tuesday 30th March (u15s / u17s) with the younger age groups (u9s / u11s / u13s) following on Friday 2nd April. Both will start at 6.15pm.
To enable us to practice safely we have produced a Covid-19 compliant risk assessment and additional guidance which are available on the club website here.
Important points to note (March 29th to April 12th);
Nobody experiencing COVID-19 symptoms within the past 14 days should participate in cricket activities.
Social distancing should be observed at all times.
Toilet facilities will be open but the clubhouse & changing rooms will remain closed.
Hand sanitiser will be available and used throughout the session.
After training sessions, the usual 'rule of 6' applies.
Maximum group sizes will be:
New Nets: 6 in each lane.
Astroturf Nets: 10 on each artificial wicket.
Open Space: 16.
Before attending practice, please can everyone complete the junior welfare form.
As a reminder junior membership is £50 for those just playing junior cricket or £95 for those playing senior cricket in addition. Please visit our membership page which takes you to the secure ‘GoCardless’ website.
Going forward we’re going to be using Teamapp for parents to confirm attendance and for coaches to record attendance on the night. We will initially start with Friday practice but also move to using this on Tuesdays. For those who haven’t used it before we will issue some further guidance.
Many Thanks
ECRC
