Women & Girl's Cricket 2026

Following another exciting season in 2025 - we are the current LCF senior league 40 over hard ball, U15 Junior and U13 League Champions!

Now entering our fourth year with a dedicated section we continue to see the benefit of retaining our position as a strong player in the future of girls cricket.

Our ethos is to provide individually tailored programmes and foster an atmosphere of fun and mutual support amongst players.

We have a team of coaches available to work with our girls – led by Olivia Thomas (Yorks / Lancs Thunder) and Danielle Collins (Lancs Thunder), in addition to other coaches from within and beyond the club.

Coaching covers all standards, including Basic Skills (our equivalent to the Dynamos programme) and beginners of all ages are welcome.  Involvement and integration within the wider junior and senior sections ensures players have access to a variety of opportunities to suit all levels and experience / interest.

We are a friendly and vibrant club, set in the heart of the village and with great facilities.

Kit and Clothing

Personalised Playing Shirts and Caps are available for all squad members.

This season we will launch our new Women and Girls' playing and training range. Keep an eye out here!

Membership

Junior Girl members at Edgworth can play and train in both junior-mixed groups and/or within the girls’-only teams and sessions.  Guidance recognises the fact that girls may transfer from soft to hard ball at different rates and that continuity of playing and training experience may be inconsistent.  At the higher performance levels, some girls thrive best with access to both forms of the game – playing in a girls’ team in addition to mixed juniors.  Likewise, at the earlier development and basic stages; playing within a mixed junior system allows girls to drop down a year to gain confidence and match experience where this may be helpful.
