Edgworth Taverners 2011

The ECRC Taverners squad for the 2011 Season comprises the following players ...

Doug Bardon, John Beatty, Ian Begg, Wayne Birtwistle, Geoff Boulding, Alan Clemence, Mark Close, Steve Foster, Dave Haslam, Nick Holliday, Andy Kay, Emmet Lagan, Jimmy Phillips, Neil Pilling, Chris Rogers, Lloyd Smith, Simon Speak, Ian Waddicar, Martin Waddicar, Peter Wilson, Dave Wyke 

FIXTURES : A total of 28 games were arranged for the 2011 season. Unfortunately, not all fixtures were fulfilled due to various factors, such as ... opposition teams being unable to raise eleven bodies, the occasional monsoon and the odd conflict with re-arranged 3rd team fixtures. Overall, when games were played, they were most enjoyable, played in great spirit, competitive and always rounded off with handshakes and pasties or pies to follow.

A massive thanks to all opposition teams who took the time and effort to play the ECRC Tavs. Enormous thanks also goes to Peter Wilson and Alan Clemence for the work they do 'behind the scenes' to organise fixtures & players. A big thank you also to all those who have helped and supported the Tavs with the after game refreshments.

We wish all players and opponents a safe winter, plenty of rest for those weary muscles and look forward to pre-season nets in 2012.
