| One of Edgworth Junior Section’s
finest productions, Tom continues to develop as a bowler
capable of producing sharp movement, a capable batsman
(lower order at the moment) and a brilliant ground
fielder. His commitments as captain of Bolton School
Cricket and subsequent holidays meant that his chances
last year were limited, but he still had enough time to
make his mark as the season drew to a close with some
good displays. We hope that he will be able to play
regularly next year, as he is certainly a valuable, if
occasionally sulky, member of the First Team.
Best moments: Coming on at
about 5th change against Daisy Hill and taking 4-9,
changing a close-fought match into a victorious stroll.
His fielding against Atherton in the point area was
magnificent, again a major factor in a superb Edgworth
win.
Worst moments: Despite
fierce competition, walked away with the “under the
thumb” award for 2005. At 18, such an achievement Is
almost inexcusable.
