Batsman, Right Arm Medium Pace Nigel’s
philosophy is “If I don’t score any runs, then I’ll get
wickets.” And vice versa. One day he may even do both
in the same match! That light hearted dig aside, Nigel
seems to contribute to every match he is involved in,
whether with a spectacular 50 – and he is fabulous to
watch when he is in full flow, a bewildering spell of
swing and seam bowling, or a brilliant catch or two in
the gully. The sobriquet “Mr Cricket” is wholly
appropriate for Nigel, who was close to selection for
the inter-league team last season, and his all-round
abilities and match-turning contributions will ensure
that he is very much in the selectors’ eyes this year.
His bowling will be particularly crucial this year in
the absence of Tahir Maqsood. |
