Guy has been a fixture in the Edgworth middle order since he joined from Roe Green 6 years ago, and his positive approach and wide range of strokes have been a consistent source of runs.  He is now entering his fourth year as captain, and a haul of three trophies, including a league title, as well as one runner-up finish, point to a job well done; he will want the team to bounce back from last year’s disappointing league campaign however.  Since becoming captain, Guy has struggled to score the level of runs he is used to, but a strong finish to last season suggests he is getting to grips with the dual demands of batting and captaincy.  Although only a very occasional bowler in league cricket, his off-spin is extremely effective at Twenty20 level, and played a major role in the Lyddon Trophy triumph in 2008.
